Committee Leader

Kitty Klaws

The Mercenary Committee exists to help GREED members progress through Final Fantasy XIV content by providing assistance with Main Scenario Quest progression, dungeon clears, unlocks, and general combat support.

MERCOM’s primary focus is helping members experience and enjoy the game while reducing frustration, queue times, and progression roadblocks.

Committee Objectives

The Mercenary Committee is responsible for:

  • Assisting members with MSQ progression
  • Helping unlock optional content
  • Assisting with dungeon and trial clears
  • Teaching and explaining mechanics when needed
  • Supporting members throughout their gameplay journey
  • Providing assistance 7 days a week

What MERCOM Does NOT Cover

The Mercenary Committee does not officially handle:

  • Farm parties
  • Roulette grinding
  • Tome farming
  • Power leveling
  • Savage content
  • Extreme trial progression/farming

Some Mercs may still choose to assist with these activities on their own time, but they are not official committee responsibilities.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I ask for help with Endwalker content?

Absolutely.

However:

  • Endwalker assistance is optional
  • It is ultimately up to the Mercenary currently on duty
  • MERCOM members are not required to assist with all Endwalker content

Can I ask for help with roulettes?

Yes, you may ask.

However:

  • Roulette assistance is optional
  • Mercs are not required to run roulettes during their shifts
  • Availability depends on the Merc currently on duty

What are the requirements for joining MERCOM?

At minimum, members are expected to have:

  • One Level 80 combat class
  • Most major content unlocked through Endwalker

Recommended

MERCOM strongly recommends having:

  • One Tank
  • One Healer
  • One DPS

This allows Mercs to better assist members in a variety of situations and queue needs.

What is the time commitment for MERCOM?

The committee operates on:

  • Two-hour shifts
  • Daily coverage
  • 1–2 Mercs assigned per shift

This system helps ensure members can receive assistance throughout the week without overwhelming any individual Mercenary.

Why doesn’t MERCOM officially support Savage and Extreme content?

Savage and Extreme encounters:

  • Can require significant time investment
  • Often involve repeated progression attempts
  • May exceed the duration of a Mercenary’s assigned shift

Because of this, they are excluded from official committee responsibilities.
