Welcome to Masters of Trade, an Adamantoise-based Free Company built around community, teamwork, crafting, gathering, and helping our members thrive throughout Eorzea.

Before proceeding further, please read through our community guidelines and expectations carefully.

Community Philosophy

At its core, GREED is built on cooperation, respect, and community involvement.

We are primarily a Crafting & Gathering Free Company, but we also actively participate in:

  • Duties
  • Hunts
  • FATEs
  • Raiding
  • Leveling assistance
  • Community events

Our goal has always been to create a close-knit environment where resources flow freely, members support one another, and the Free Company succeeds together.

Real life always comes first.
We are here to enjoy the game, build friendships, and have fun together.

Discord Rules

1. Discord Participation Required

All members are required to join the FC Discord server.

2. Nicknames & Communication

Discord nicknames must match your in-game character name.

Members are expected to actively use Discord during events and content runs. Speaking in voice chat is optional, but highly encouraged.

3. Use Appropriate Channels

Please post messages in their proper channels.

Messages posted in incorrect locations may be removed without notice.

4. Read Channel Information

Many channels contain pinned messages or specific guidelines.
Please read channel descriptions and pinned posts before participating.

5. No Spam or Flooding

Avoid excessive spam, message flooding, or repeated single-word/image/emote posts.

Please also avoid unnecessary message deletion.

6. Restricted Topics

The following topics are prohibited in public FC channels:

  • Politics
  • Religion
  • Sexual content
  • Highly controversial discussions

These subjects often create unnecessary division and negatively impact community cohesion.

7. Respect Others

Harassment, flaming, abuse, or disrespectful behavior toward other members will not be tolerated.

Treat fellow members with maturity and professionalism.

8. Do Not Backseat Moderate

If issues arise, contact a Master or Leader directly rather than attempting to moderate situations yourself.

9. Follow Leadership Instructions

Masters, Lords of Trade, and Grandmasters serve as leadership within GREED.

Please follow their directions and respect leadership decisions.

10. Private Messages & Harassment

Leadership only moderates behavior occurring within:

  • FC Discord channels
  • In-game FC chat

Private DM disputes generally will not be handled unless harassment is involved.

If harassment occurs:

  • Leadership will help guide reporting procedures
  • Members may be advised on blocking/reporting users
  • Leadership may follow up to ensure the issue has stopped

11. Leadership Concerns

If you have concerns involving leadership, you may contact the Guild Master directly through Discord DM.

12. Privacy & Confidentiality

GREED values member privacy.

Please avoid sharing internal FC information outside the community unless explicitly approved by leadership.

13. No RMT

Real Money Trading (RMT) purchases, advertisements, or discussions are prohibited in both Discord and in-game FC chat.

Please follow all Final Fantasy XIV Terms of Service.

In-Game Rules

1. One-Strike Policy

GREED operates under a one-strike disciplinary system.

  • First offense → Warning
  • Repeated offense → Removal from the Free Company

2. “GREED First” Mindset

Members are expected to represent the Free Company positively at all times.

Your actions reflect on the entire FC and community.

3. Real Life Comes First

If you expect to be inactive for more than 90 days, please notify a Master or above.

4. Respect & Professionalism

Members should maintain:

  • Mature behavior
  • Team-focused attitudes
  • Respectful communication

Toxicity, excessive drama, and selfish behavior are not welcome.

5. Avoid Drama

If outside individuals attempt to create conflict:

  • Ignore the situation when possible
  • Contact leadership if needed
  • Provide screenshots when appropriate

6. Follow Leadership

Leadership positions are assigned based on trust, contribution, and demonstrated ability.

Please respect leadership decisions even when the reasoning is not immediately visible.

These rules are not exhaustive.

Members are expected to use common sense and maintain the spirit of cooperation and respect that GREED was founded on.

Leadership retains final authority regarding all community matters.
